Salvinia Natans Floating Watermoss

Salvinia Natans commonly known as Floating Watermoss is floating plant.

This plant is made up of small hairy green leaves floating on the surface.

Salvinia are not hardy and can be burnt by cold winds.

It makes a very attractive plant in shallow bowls with a little soil and kept in a warm, light position.

Remove decaying plants after first frost.

Very hard to overwinter, they must be placed in shallow water with soil at the base of the container. They should be kept in moderate light at a temperatute above 15°c. .
