Palletised Deliveries

  • Sufficient Vehicle Access
  • Access must be reasonably level
  • Access must be sufficiently wide and free of obstacles
  • Hand pump trucks will not operate on soft ground or loose gravel

All palletised deliveries are made via Tail-Lift vehicles, as shown in illustrations above.
We DO NOT use cranes or Hi-Abs under any circumstances for any type of delivery.
All aggregate arrives on pallets and are either in bulk bags or in pre-packed bags stacked on the pallet.
We do not have a pallet or bag return service, the customer is responsible for disposing of all packaging.

Delivery time info

An all day delivery on either a economy or next day can take place between 8am and 7pm
AM delivery should be delivered before 1pm

Delivery Criteria - What you should know before ordering
Please note we use 18 tonne truck that requires enough access to the area around the delivery point and space to manoeuvre around safely.

To avoid disappointment of a failed delivery, ensure The Off-Loading Area meets the requirements below

•    Minimum width of 3 metres for vehicle access
•    Free of any obstacles that may prevent delivery such as low hanging trees
•    Reasonable level HARD SURFACE for off-loading (Pallets can weigh as much as 1 tonne)    
•    Pallet pump trucks used for deliveries CAN NOT operate on any soft or loose surfaces such as grass or gravel.
•    ALL DELIVERIES ARE KERBSIDE & REQUIRE A SIGNATURE (unless otherwise agreed and confirmed prior to delivery)

Health & Safety for you, the driver and the public, it is at the drivers discretion to deem the delivery point unsuitable for off loading and within their rights to refuse to unload any consignments. Alternatively they may suggest off-loading the consignment as near as possible to the required point where it is safe to do so.

Failed Deliveries
Charges will be incurred if you have unsuitable access, if the delivery can not take place due to the delivery criteria then a minimum of £50.00 + vat per pallet return cost will be incurred. See our full Terms & Conditions for further information.

Cancellations/Changes Prior To Dispatch
The customer has the right to cancel any order. However, any cancellation must be made prior to dispatch.
A):Orders placed before 12 noon can be cancelled up until 4pm on the day of order.
B):Orders placed after 12 noon can be cancelled up until 4pm the following day.
C):Cancellations can be made by telephone to 0114 4372145 Monday - Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm
     Outside these hours all cancellations must be sent via email.

Cancellations/Changes Following Dispatch
A):If an order is cancelled en route,you will incur a cancellation charge per pallet.The return costs would be £50.00 per pallet and deducted from any refund due.
B):Where a delivery is not made on the due date due to access issues, at your request we will attempt a re-delivery for a nominal charge. If you have any queries relating to this or any other issues, please call our office on 0114 4372145
C):If an incorrect delivery address is entered at the time of order there may be charges due for the re-direction

Customers may return the goods at their own expense to the aforementioned address within 7 working days from the day following the date of delivery or we can arrange the goods to be collected and charge you the cost of return which will be a minimum of £50.00 per pallet plus any zone charges
Decorative Ponds Ltd do not accept liability for any late deliveries for factors outside of our control,such as traffic delays, weather and vehicle breakdowns.

Samples and other items will be delivered by other parcel couriers or royal mail
